Web Developer / Back-end or Full Stack

  • Job Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday with 3 days worked in the office and 2 days worked at home

We are looking for a bright, driven, and highly creative individual who has a genuine passion for design, code and all things digital. You will be primarily working on backend-oriented code; however, there will be exposed to new languages and technologies to expand your skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Build pixel-perfect, polished ecommerce websites
  • Ensure that you stay informed and on top of your game
  • Constantly improve the quality of our tools and infrastructure
  • Maintain and contribute modular code to the company framework
  • Create and implement automated testing
  • Consult with the design team and validate UX/UI ideas
  • Enhance and optimise backend and frontend performance

    • Essential Skills

  • Rock solid object-oriented PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Experience with Laravel or equivalent MVC framework
  • Experience using a modern Javascript framework (Vue, React, Angular)
  • Ability to work with various REST APIs to fetch/ post data
  • Experience with build technologies such as Webpack and Gulp
  • Experience with Linux terminal
  • Proficiency in Git version control in a team
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken

    • Bonus Points

  • Experience with Codeigniter and Magento
  • Experience with SASS
  • DevOps experience is a BIG plus!
  • eCommerce expertise
  • Previous experience working in an agency environment
